Education is key to success in life. However, each year two million students drop out of college due to financial hardship and a lack of financial assistance. In the United States there are more than 900,000 college-bound students who qualify for federal financial assistance each year. Yet almost 90% of these students don’t receive adequate guidance or support, leaving hundreds of thousands of students’ needs unmet.
The Pizza Hut Foundation will award scholarships for education to students who demonstrate financial need and who prove leadership and community involvement in and around our Pizza Hut communities.
These scholarships for education are available for students enrolled in or on track to apply to two- or four-year colleges or universities undergraduate programs, vocational-technical schools, and trade schools. Students must be legal residents of the United States, Guam, or D.C., be at least age 17, and no older than 26. Additionally, they must be eligible for federal financial aid at the college or school they plan to attend.
The Pizza Hut Foundation is proud to partner with Kaleidoscope as our scholarship platform provider, pairing education dreams with funding. The program period for scholarships is July 12, 2024, at 8 a.m. Central Time, and ends on September 3, 2024, at 4:00 p.m. Central Time. Scholarship recipients will be notified on or before November 10, 2024. Scholarships of $500 and up to $2,000 in tuition assistance per scholarship are available, award quantity and amount may vary. Scholarships will be distributed to accredited institutions in Spring 2025.
While the Scholarship program financially supports the awarded students enrolled in higher education, it doesn’t stop there. The Pizza Hut Foundation offers a mentorship opportunity, through leaders from within the Pizza Hut organization and Vendor partners, to engage Scholarship recipients in a meaningful way throughout their educational journey.
The Pizza Hut Foundation will support engagements with the students via monthly connections to ensure a positive experience for both the mentors and the mentees.
